Graphenexpo & Conference 2022

Cambridge – Hybrid event

Meeting venue: (in person): Paula Browne House, Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, UK & (online) ZOOM digital platform

The GRAPHENEXPO & Conference 2022 (www.graphenexpo.net) took place on the 29th and 30th June 2022, as a hybrid meeting. The in-person event took place at the Murray Edwards College (Cambridge), with a dinner on the 29th June, at Sidney Sussex College (Cambridge).

The GRAPHENEXPO & Conference 2022 (2-day meeting) was organised in order to support commercialisation of new technologies related to applications of graphene and nano-carbon materials and composites (www.graphenexpo.net). This was an opportunity to learn about progress in the development of graphene technologies in a number of applications including, energy, transport, biomedical, environmental, circular economy, additive manufacturing It was also be a platform to exchange experience and discuss issues in materials characterization, data management and commercialization, between technology solutions developers in industry and researchers in academia.

This was also an opportunity to link it with the UltraWire Workshop (www.ultrawire.eu/workshops) and UltraWire EXPO (www.ultrawire.eu/expo/) related to conductive materials solutions, including nano-carbon and metal-based composite materials for several applications, such as; electrical energy transmission, batteries, structural health monitoring and light-weight transport. We have organized the UltraWire workshops every year since 2017, both in person and online, as a platform for bringing together technology development leaders and industrial end-users.

Around 22 participated on this workshop. they came from leading organisations, research centres and universities such as: Graphenea, Avanzare Innovación Tecnológica, Versarien, TMBK Partners, CodiKoat LTD, Soongsil University, Nanografi Nano Teknoloji Anonim Șirketi, W.L. Gore & Associates, ADVISE Deta, Brunel Composites Center and Johnson Matthey.
